Eye Protection and General Safety

Gun Rules

We expect everyone to ensure they are within the limits set by the club before playing. This is to ensure safe and fair play for everyone, ignorance is not an excuse and can be potentially dangerous. Chronographs test will be held out by the field official.

Annex F of the Club Statute should be consulted for "Minimum Contact Range" and "Maximum Muzzle Velocity".

Plate Carriers

We encourage our members to wear realistic kit, including plate carriers. To "reward" players who wear full plate carriers, players wearing plate carriers can self-revive.

Players wearing a plate carrier can self-heal once per game:

  • the player must be wearing a full plate carrier

  • player must have a pouch with a white bandage that they can use to self-heal.

  • a player can use the bandage to self-heal once per game.

  • a hit player cannot self-heal if an enemy player "tags" them before the player can self-revive.

  • using the bandage does NOT give you an extra respawn. It is simply another way to respawn.

Notes:

  • the player can only self-heal ONCE per game.

  • both sides of the plate carrier must contain dummy (foam) or real plates.

  • Only plate carriers are eligible. Chest rigs, harnesses, webbing, vests do not count.

  • If a hit player is tagged by an enemy player, the enemy tag is reset once the player respawns some other way (tagging or back-to-base)

  • Eye protection must be suitable for use and worn properly.

Playing Area and General Site Rules

  • Elimination - If you are struck with a BB please shout “HIT”, raise up your hand, stand up (if not already standing up) waving your hand to signal that you are hit. It is your job to make sure that the player whom has eliminated you is aware of your status in game.

  • Equipment Hits - Your equipment, helmet, holster etc. are all an extension of you. If it is hit, so are you. Direct hits to your rifle count as a weapon hit and you may continue playing with your secondary, if no secondary is available you will be eliminated.

  • When you are eliminated please practice “DEAD MAN DON’T TALK” , you may not communicate to other players unless calling for medic. Dead Man Don't Talk - when you are eliminated you may not communicate to other players unless calling for a medic.

  • Grenades - A grenade will instantly kill every player within 5m (15ft) radius, unless behind hard cover.

  • Knife Kills - To achieve a knife kill you must TAP your opponent on the back or the shoulder, and whisper “Knife kill”.  Anyone eliminated by a knife kill is instantly dead and all re-spawns are lost.  Knife kills are the only method of tagging where you do not shout "HIT" whenever you are eliminated, to avoid exposing the person who tagged you.

  • Real knifes are NOT allowed on site.

Sportsmanship and Conduct

  • Airsoft relies on honour as such it is a close community. Failure to conduct yourself in a sporting, respectful and becoming manner will impact everyone’s safe enjoyment of the day. We appreciate the difference between aggressive play and aggressive behaviour however please respect all players in and out of team when playing. Everyone has different levels of enjoyment and involvement.

  • Any physical or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Anyone under the effect of drugs and/or alcohol will be asked to leave site.

  • If you feel someone is not playing by the rules please inform the field official immediately. Please do not take action yourself as this will and can lead to a difference of opinion leaving the matter unresolved and creating animosity.

  • Shooting a peeping head is not allowed, unless the opponent has his gun shouldered and is aiming

  • ‘Bang-Bang ’ rule is used in under 5m, the weapon should be pointed at the enemy with a clear shot for a 'Bang-Bang' to be eligible.
